An 8-inch reinforced pad has been set up to simulate a garage floor, foundation, or frost wall—common scenarios where this machine is used for dismantling.
Setting Up the Machine
The Kubota KX057 excavator includes hydraulic systems essential for operating the hammer. It features auxiliary connections located on the stick, with a designated hydraulic service for the thumb and a secondary connection for the hammer.
A key component is the one-way valve located on the valve bank of the excavator. This valve directs all fluid returning from the hammer straight back to the tank, ensuring efficient operation. On the Kubota KX057, this valve is positioned at the front of the machine.
Programming the Hydraulic Hammer
Configuring the excavator’s settings is necessary to accommodate the hammer. The following steps outline the process:
- Activate the Auxiliary: Start by turning on the auxiliary settings on the dashboard.
- Navigate to Flow Control: Scroll down to the “Auxiliary Flow Control” setting and enter that page.
- Select the Hydraulic Hammer Image: Move to page two and assign the hammer image to the left auxiliary port.
- Adjust the Flow: Set the flow to the maximum level for efficient hammer operation.
- Power Down: Once the settings are adjusted, turn the machine off.
